Paralegal (Casual)

The Florey has a casual Paralegal opportunity (2-3 days per week, casual rate $38.10 per hour plus super) that may suit a student studying a law degree with 2 to 3 years remaining until graduation. 

What you’ll do:

  • Provide high level paralegal and administrative support to Florey Legal by maintaining and providing accurate and timely information and data to both internal and external stakeholders relating to relevant legal matters and by coordinating legal documents, reporting, database management and engagement with relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform a triage role and be a first point of contact for research staff and external customers in the legal and document review process.
  • Provide high-level business support to individuals, teams or projects including coordination, research and analysis and undertaking the required administrative functions. This may also involve coordinating the activity of others.Drafting legal documents and correspondence, taking file notes, transcribing and scanning documents; and doing legal research.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Currently studying a law degree with 2 to 3 years remaining until graduation.
  • A mid-level distinction average or higher for law subjects (75%).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • An excellent work ethic.
  • Any cohort, Masters and JD
