About The Role

Are you passionate about clinical research and looking for an opportunity to contribute to studies that make a real difference to people's lives?

Neuroscience Trials Australia (NTA), based within The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, is seeking a Clinical Research Associate to join our growing Clinical Operations team. In this role, you'll support the delivery of innovative academic and commercially sponsored clinical trials across Australia and New Zealand.

You'll work alongside experienced clinical research professionals, investigators, sponsors and study sites to ensure studies are delivered to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements.

As a Clinical Research Associate, you will play a key role in the management and monitoring of clinical trials from start-up through to close-out. Working across a diverse portfolio of neuroscience and other clinical research projects, you will help ensure studies are delivered efficiently, compliantly and successfully.

What You'll Do

  • Conducting site monitoring visits and follow-up activities.
  • Building strong relationships with investigators and study coordinators.
  • Supporting study delivery against project timelines and milestones.
  • Maintaining audit-ready trial documentation and essential study records.
  • Ensuring compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements and quality systems.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

About You

We're looking for someone who is collaborative, organised and passionate about clinical research.

You will bring:

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences or a related discipline.
  • At least one year of clinical research experience within a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, hospital or academic research environment.
  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP and clinical trial regulations.
  • Experience managing clinical trial documentation and essential study records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

Desirable

  • Previous experience as a CRA, Study Coordinator, Clinical Trial Coordinator or similar role.
  • Neuroscience, neurology or mental health research experience.
  • Experience working within a quality management system environment.
  • Exposure to commercially sponsored clinical trials.
