About The Role

The Florey is Australia's largest brain research centre, bringing together world-leading researchers to improve the lives of people affected by brain and mental health conditions.
We're seeking a creative and proactive Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our Communications and Engagement team. This role is ideal for an experienced communications professional who enjoys creating engaging content, managing digital channels, and turning complex information into clear, compelling stories.

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Engagement, you will support the delivery of marketing and communications activities that raise the profile of The Florey's research and engage a range of audiences.

What You'll Do

  • Creating content for digital channels, including websites, social media and email campaigns
  • Developing marketing collateral such as brochures, newsletters, presentations and signage
  • Supporting communication campaigns and events
  • Managing regular eDM communications
  • Applying brand guidelines across all communications materials
  • Working closely with researchers and stakeholders to identify and promote stories and achievements
  • Monitoring engagement and communications performance

About You

You will bring:

  • Qualifications in marketing, communications, content design or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong copywriting, editing and content creation skills
  • Experience managing websites, social media and email marketing platforms
  • Strong visual design skills and experience using tools such as Canva
  • The ability to translate complex information into engaging content for diverse audiences
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and stakeholder management abilities
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities
