  • RA2 - RA4, $79,724 - $88,345 per annum + up to 17% Superannuation
  • Fixed term until June 2027
  • Heidelberg Location with limited travel to Parkville and partner sites

About The Role

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant – Test & Site Coordination to support the Enhanced Dementia Diagnosis (EDD) Study, a multi‑site research program in the Florey's Dementia Research Priority Area. The study aims to improve dementia diagnosis through the implementation of advanced diagnostic approaches in Australian memory clinics.
Reporting to the EDD Centre Manager, this role plays a key operational part in coordinating diagnostic testing and site‑based activities across multiple Victorian memory clinics. You will work closely with clinicians, researchers, commercial partners and participants to ensure high‑quality, participant‑centred delivery of research testing.
This is an autonomous, highly collaborative role ideal for someone who enjoys coordination, stakeholder engagement and working at the interface of research and clinical care.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate booking and delivery of diagnostic tests, including PET, MRI, blood‑based biomarkers and cognitive assessments
  • Facilitate selected test days at the Melbourne Brain Centre, supporting participant flow and wellbeing
  • Act as a key point of contact for participants, carers, clinics and test providers
  • Conduct required safety and pre‑appointment checks (e.g. MRI screening)
  • Support participant recruitment in partnership with memory clinics
  • Maintain accurate study records and data entry (e.g. REDCap)
  • Contribute to reporting, ethics submissions and governance documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve coordination workflows and participant experience

About You

You will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a health‑related discipline (e.g. nursing, allied health, psychology, public health, biomedical science)
  • Experience coordinating clinical or health research activities
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage complex schedules across multiple sites
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence engaging with research participants, clinicians and diverse stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of professionalism
  • Experience with research data systems and reporting (desirable)
