Research Assistant (Analyst) - Neuroepidemiology

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant (Analyst) to join our Neuroepidemiology Research Group led by Professor Anne-Louise Ponsonby. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful research in a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support data analysis and document preparation for neuroepidemiological studies
  • Contribute to scientific reports, grant proposals, and publications
  • Draft literature reviews, ethics submissions, protocols, and participant materials
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with researchers
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as needed

This is a 12 week full-time, fixed-term position commencing in November 2025. Detailed information about the position and key responsibilities are available in the Position Description.

Salary:  Research Assistant (RA) 4-6 $88,345 to $95,348 per annum full time equivalent

About you:

You are a proactive and organised individual with:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • Strong data analysis skills (R statistical software experience essential)
  • Proven ability to prepare complex scientific documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently
  • High attention to detail and time management skills
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing environments (desirable)
