Wonderful opportunity to play a supporting role at the largest brain research centre in the Southern Hemisphere.

The role

This part-time role provides front desk reception and administrative support at The Florey’s Heidelberg Campus, ensuring a high level of customer service for all visitors, research participants, and staff.

This is a 12-month, part-time role (~ 0.7 FTE) with potential for extension, offering a pro-rated annual salary of $69,487.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Greeting & supporting visitors – providing a high-level customer experience.
  • General administrative support.
  • Co-ordinating clinical/MRI bookings and meeting space reservations.
  • Assisting healthcare staff/researchers with patient co-ordination, including completing and keeping records of clinic room inductions for visiting clinicians.
  • General office administration duties
  • Monitoring cleaning standards addressing minor issues and escalating major concerns.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Capacity to work Mon-Thurs from 10am-5pm - Some flexibility may exist for the right candidate. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to high level of professionalism and customer service when dealing with staff and visitors.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS applications and willingness to learn new software.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Able to work independently and prioritise competing tasks.

Experience with the below is desirable, but not essential:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Completion of Yr 12 and/or applicable TAFE qualifications
