About the role:
The Clinics Operations Manager will support clinical and research activities across the Florey by managing the daily operations of the dedicated clinical space and research facilities at the Melbourne Brain Centre (MBC) Heidelberg Campus and at the Oak Street Campus in Parkville.
Acting as a key liaison for Florey researchers, partner organisations, and healthcare professionals, the Clinics Operations Manager will operate a business unit and play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations and strategic development of the Florey clinics. They will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of the clinic spaces, maintaining high-quality patient care standards, and fostering a positive work environment.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Heading and developing the plan for Florey Services – Clinics service delivery, enhancement and growth in conjunction with Florey leadership.
- Responsibility to positively manage and maintain The Florey’s key clinical relationship with Austin Health and Clinical Researchers.
- Collaboration with Florey Finance to develop and manage Clinic budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure ongoing maintenance of Clinical infrastructure and facilities in accordance with good clinical practice and relevant regulations.
- Maintain compliance with accreditation standards and Florey policies within the Clinics.
- Coordinate and manage service agreements and determine billing requirements for Clinic users.

This position is a permanent, full-time time role. The role attracts an annual salary offer ranging from Increment Level 8 (PS 8-1) $104,033 to Increment Level 8 (PS 8-5) $112,612, commensurate with experience.

About you:
The successful candidate will have:
- Registered nurse or equivalent with expertise to manage clinical units / outpatient clinics.
- Qualified in Good Clinical Practice and hold current working with children check.
- Demonstrated experience working in senior role within a healthcare organisation.
- Experience and or understanding of required regulatory requirements and maintenance for clinical spaces and medical equipment.
- Experience in assessment of clinical risk and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Experience or understanding of clinics booking and billing processes within a healthcare organisation, including Medicare billing process and regulations.
- Budget management experience.
Experience with the below is highly desirable:
- Experience with clinics management in a health care setting.
- Understanding of patient safety screening requirements for procedures including MRI metal checks.
- Experience in use of Calpedo or similar booking system.
